About Myron Steves Educators Professional Liability

The Myron Steves Educators Professional Liability Program provides errors and omissions insurance for damages arising out of an insured's duties as a professional educator. In addition, the coverage provides reimbursement of attorney fees in a broad range of situations not insured under the liability coverage, such as:

• Criminal charges
• Allegations of sexual misconduct
• Actions involving dismissal, revocation of certification and other professional rights or duties

The program dates back to 1975 when Myron Steves, Sr. designed and authored the first policy for the Congress of Houston Teachers (Texas) and the Palmetto State Teachers Association (South Carolina). We continue to insure both groups. Creating long-term relationships is a constant goal.

Our current policyholders include groups of educators, school administrators and librarians in 19 states with our primary concentration of business in Texas and the Southeast. Most of these associations extend membership and insurance to school support personnel and student teachers.

The program is underwritten by a carrier rated A+XV by A.M. Best.
