Frederick B. Steves is the Executive Director of Property and Casualty, and President of Frederick B. Steves, Inc., a corporate partner of Myron F. Steves & company. Fred joined Myron Steves in 1970 after 2 years of practicing law in a Houston law firm and 3 1/2 years as a Judge Advocate and Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He is a past president and former Director of the Texas Surplus Lines Association, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas, and a past president and former director of the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA). He is a trustee and past Chairman of the AAMGA Education Foundation and a former member of its executive committee. He has held the position of Chancellor of the AAMGA University, the principal educational activity of the AAMGA Education Foundation. Fred has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctor degree both from the University of Texas. Fred is a Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a Certified Insurance Wholesaler (CIW).

Myron F. (Buddy) Steves, Jr. :: MA, CPCU

Buddy Steves is Executive Director of Myron Steves, Healthcare, President of Buddy Steves, Inc., and corporate partner of Myron F. Steves & Company. He is a principal in Actuarial Research Group, a corporation specializing in providing actuarial assistance to self-insured firms. He has published several papers on medical malpractice in the Journal of Risk and Insurance, CPCU Annals, and in the IIA's Textbook on Advanced Underwriting and the Society of CPCU's 1983 monograph on professional liability. He was the program organizer and moderator of the American Risk and Insurance Association's plenary session on tort reform at its 1986 annual meeting.

Buddy received his MA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969 and joined Myron Steves in 1973 after four years as an assistant to the Executive Director at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Rob Arnold :: CIC, CPIA

Rob Arnold is Director of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer. Rob joined Myron Steves in 1995 after 23 years in the insurance industry, working in Little Rock and all over Texas. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and has served as President of the Texas Chapter of CIC. He is a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) served as President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Austin. He is active in the Texas Association of Insurance Agents, and has served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Independent Agents of Houston. He received their Company Associate of the Year Award in 2000. He was awarded the Jack Claitor Memorial Award from the Texas Surplus Lines Association in 2001. In 1988, he was the Insurance Women of the Dallas Metroplex's "Boss of the Year". Rob has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas.

Teresa Steves Skinner :: CPCU

Teresa Steves Skinner is the Managing Director of Educators Professional Liability, and President of Teresa S. Skinner, Inc., a corporate partner of Myron Steves. Terry joined Myron Steves in 1988 after 18 years in education. Since 1990, she has been responsible for the Educators Professional Liability Program, working with Myron Steves, Sr., the innovator and developer of the program. Terry has a Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Designation. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas and a Masters in Education from the University of Houston. Prior to joining Myron Steves, she was employed for 4 years by the University of Houston Department of Curriculum and Instruction while pursuing a Doctorate in Education.

John L. Garner :: CPA

John Garner has been the Director of Finance and Accounting since he joined Myron Steves in 2001. John has more than 20 years experience in high level positions in the insurance industry. John has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of a consulting company specializing in the insurance industry and Chief Financial Officer of a Houston-based property and casualty insurance group. He was also a Senior Auditor for KPMG- Peat Marwick specializing in insurance. John has specialized in insurance; however as a consultant, his experience stretches across several diverse industries including energy, financial services, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation and wholesale distribution. His experience enables him to analyze, develop and implement effective professional business solutions. Over his career, John has served on on the board of 6 insurance carriers. John has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Texas Society of Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.




James W. Hooker :: CPA

James joined Pronote, Inc. in July 2002 as an Associate Director of Finance and Accounting. He has over 14 years experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Pronote, James was Vice President of Finance and Controller for a large publicly traded insurance group. Prior to that, James was an Audit Manager for KPMG-Peat Marwick specializing in insurance. He spent two years in KPMG Peat Marwicks London, England office where he was in charge of auditing large international insurance groups. James graduated from Lamar University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
